angling trust

Angling Trust

As official governing body, the Angling Trust strives to protect the rights of anglers across the UK, so that they can continue to do what they love most. However, earlier in 2014, the Trust had identified a major threat that was blighting the angling community, tackle theft. To combat this alarming trend, Angling Trust partnered up with SmartWater in an initiative that would see its members provided with a specially formulated security product for the protection of angling equipment.

Will Smith, Membership Manager of the Angling Trust said: “As an angler I know how precious my fishing tackle is to me, both monetarily and sentimentally. SmartWater provides a very effective method of protecting fishing tackle from the risk of theft. It also fits perfectly within the Angling Trust’s participation in the Government’s drive to reduce rural crime.”

BASC

With a membership of over 140,000 and 108 staff, BASC is the largest and best resourced country sports organisation in the UK.

In times of a growing criminal threat to rural properties, BASC looked to partner with an organisation that could both add-value to its service offering and piece of mind to its members. By working with SmartWater, BASC has been able to put together an suite of security products for domestic and commercial members to safeguard their property.

war memorials trust

War Memorials Trust

War Memorials Trust is a registered charity that works for the protection and conservation of war memorials in the UK. It provides advice and information to anyone with a war memorial enquiry and also runs grant schemes for the repair and conservation of war memorials.

In 2011 War Memorials Trust and the SmartWater Foundation came together to form In Memoriam 2014 – a partnership dedicated to the ongoing protection of the UK’s war memorials from the threat of metal theft. In Memoriam 2014 continues to offer free of charge SmartWater traceable liquids to the custodians of war memorials across the UK.

BT openreach

Openreach

As a corporate client of SmartWater, Openreach, a BT Group business, asked us to develop an idea to protect and deter access to their nationwide underground network. The theft of underground metal and cable can result in loss of vital services such as telephone and broadband connections, as well as major financial losses for service providers who have a responsibility to repair and restore services.

Working in partnership with Openreach, our first to market innovative solution was SEAL™, which acts as both a physical barrier to protect underground cable and a forensic link between a thief and the crime scene. Devices are now in use at high-risk locations, none of which have been attacked since their installation.

Openreach has received internal recognition throughout the BT Group for their involvement in the development of SEAL, which culminated in the receipt of the Challenge Cup Blue Ribbon Award.
